When your Singaporean friend (SF) says "come I take you xxxx"

And then.. you go (M).. great lets go.

SF: We walk.

M: WALK? Far or not?

SF: Nolah.. not far one.. very near.

Holy ****************

I tell you .. I never learn my lesson (Remember? "Come I take you somewhere nice to eat. VERY nice one the food" *pth*) that you should never believe them. Especially when its a freaking hot day and the sun is being a monster.

I was fried to death (even though there was shade along some places) one day when someone took me somewhere (I got my bearings lost) for lunch. We kept passing by so many food stalls but never settled down there. I was tempted to whine "are we there yettttttt?" But you know.. the person taking me was a staff.. and.. you know.. I dont want to sound like a whiny baby (yes I know I am. shadap)

Their perception of near is 15 mins walk (which can very well be 1 km depending how fast you walk).

Okay. My tolerance for walking has increased compared to when I was in KL (driven everywhere mah.. even 500m distance also must be driven.. otherwise .. father say will I kena kidnap). But 15 mins under the monster sun... no thanks. There is a maximum level of my tolerance okay.

Migrane. I. need. ice. on. my. head.
