Yep. My bikini is finally finished (just have to tidy up those stray strings)! Woohoo! I can start on a new project soon!

Mind you this bikini is NOT feasible in water. Why? Coz its all cotton. Cotton absorbs alot of water. Then your swimsuit will just fall off you. I wanted to find elastic yarns. But apparently, they only sell it in USA and I have to import it in if I really wanted to go into this seriously. But for now, it's all pure fun.

For this bikini, I used 2 balls (about $5 each?) of yarn and one $2 t-shirt, which I substitute it for lycra. Lycra is expensive, plus if I wanted to buy some cheap swimsuit to cut up, they only come in blue and black. Boo hoo.

Pattern? Courtesy of Ashley Paige's Sexy Little Knits book that I borrowed from the library. I had to borrow it, return, borrow, return, wash rinse repeat for few months. I should just buy it right?

For now, I'm so proud of myself (except for that obvious horrible stitches to join the lining and the crochet bikini) *pats self*

I've just renewed my library membership.

When I first started out here, I opted for the basic $10 (around there?) membership where I can borrow like 4 books a go; with a loan period of 3 weeks. For me, that was expensive then (no earn S$ money then).

Now, a year later, I have to renew my membership. They do not offer the basic membership anymore. Their basic membership now costs $42, which entitles you to borrow 8 books or 4 books and 4 audio visuals. Man that is expensive! Imagine paying RM100 (around there?) a year just to borrow books/audio visual stuff. But anyway, since Singapore library is not bad, I decided to splurge. But now, instead of having 2 memberships (me and Mr Bee), we decided to have 1 and share. Besides, how many books can you read in 3 weeks (considering you are married to your job like me)????

Anyway, we checked out the audio visuals, and to our surprise, audio visuals also means GAMES. PC games that is. So we borrowed:

One of it is mine:

I've always wanted to try out this game. But afraid to buy incase it was so so only.

Heh. I'm so gonna have fun with this.... I will put up screenshots of the game later later

Meanwhile, this is our current activity now. To each his/her own:

My laptop is mine, your laptop is yours..

Today our firm had "Community Day" where each department will spend a day with the beneficiaries of our firm. Our department and another unit combined to hold a carnival in their school. The school, is a special school. With special children with learning disabilities.

Everyone had a role to play. I was in charge of the water gun game stall.

Mannn... the kids did tire us out. Most of the time I was shouting "let your friends play" "lets take turns" "Come, collect your gift" "Which gift you want?" etc etc

After that, a colleague agreed, after this experience, we are so not going to have kids. Think there was too many kids for us to handle. They demand special attention and can be very demanding. It was quite difficult for us to control the kids because we are not trained to do so. Lucky their teacher was around.

After the event, I braved the after work crowd and went shopping (again).

AAAgghh! Everyone is in my face. Managed to smack a few with my bag.. simply because they were in my way... what? I dont like it when people stop in midwalk (especially when its this crowded all the time) to stop and stare at space.

I went to Zara, and saw all these sooooooo cuuuuuuutttttteeeeee jackets. Pity, they do not have my size. Managed to try on a dress though.

This dress was my size. But I thought I had too many black dresses already... and they didnt carry other colors. Pity.

But I did score a pair of skinny jeans. It's time I caught up with the fashion. I always had boot cut jeans. I didnt want to wear skinny jeans previously because....... I'm too skinny. I was afraid I'd look like a stick. Even XS does not fit me. Boo.. I need to gain weight.

So imagine my delight when I saw this skinny jeans from Topshop Kate Moss collection:

Ahhh it fits! Didnt buy the top though. I like the top, pity they do not have other colors in my size (topshop size 6 please).

Ahh.. I'm so happy. Time to find those come-fck-me shoes (you know, pointy shoes , a.k.a witch shoes)

For the first time since I made my passport, the immigration officer (at Singapore customs) asked me:

"IS THIS YOUR PASSPORT?!"

I got a shock of my life and was unable respond. It's not like I did plastic surgery or something. Even when I wore my spectacles, I had no problems previously.

I just cut my hair.... only mah...

Lucky I managed to go through. Can you imagine if I cant and they have to detain me to verify my passport?

I'm such a horrible sleeper.

I woke up many times in the middle of the night like a frantic squirrel just to find my missing pillow on the floor.

After I found it .. I *huggotosleep*

But you know.... once you wake up in the middle of the night, the sleep is interrupted.. and all u get is.. lack of sleep.. bah.

Almost everywhere I go in the house (house only, me not like some pple take it everywhere), I need it beside me. If possible, it must travel with me (like when I went to US, I didnt bring it along incase it got quarantined by customs.. but maybe if I am travelling to lets say malacca for more than 3 days, mustbringalong!)

Man, I need to reduce some dependence on my pillow.

Remember those days in Sekolah Rendah, the school will organise stuff like.. buy susu lembu (cow's milk) from the Ministry of Health (Malaysia) cheap cheap! Then everyone will get diaherrea the next day?

I remember my primary school had this Vitagen day. We bought LOTS of Vitagen sold for a cheap price. I recall asking my mummy for money to buy LOTS AND LOTS of Vitagen. Mummy dont let, so resort to cracking my piggy bank to waste all my money on the Vitagen day. What lah.. last time small dont know the meaning of value of money..

Vitagen is this puny little bottle of drink. Drink one sure cannot satisfy thirst one.

Now, I still go crazy over Vitagens (since earning my own now mah..) and they came up with this new one called VITAGEN COLLAGEN

Whoah.. you hear also scared I tell you. Dont play play. After drink your skin can become like baby's bottom u know..... (ok kidding.. I dont know, I just like Vitagen ok?) I tasted the Lavender one (pictured above.. I know lah the picture sucks.... I'm lazy on my bed with the aircond and just took the picture of the bottle with my Nokia sucky camera phone. 2 megapix my ass.. you want a clearer pic go google it lah.. lazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!)

Ok. When I saw Lavender, I was reminded of how awful Lavender tea could taste like. I recall PY was soooo adventurous one evening during our girls tea outing, she ordered Lavender milk tea. I tell you, one sip, and the Lavender smell just shoots up your nose, and instead of feeling so much more relaxed, your face will just crumple into a mess, till all your facial muscles are overworked (pple who frown more uses up more facial muscles) and then u get stressed out trying to get the lavender taste out of your mouth. After that fiasco, you age 10 years in 1 minute. Lucky for me, I'm the accountant who stuck to the safe (prudent) side of ordering tea, resulting everyone sipped mine instead to get rid of the taste (not so lucky after all, I get half cup left after everyone sipped). After that everyone decided that, Lavender should NEVEREVEREVER be consumed as a drink. It should just stay on your skin (I love lavender products on my skin.. dont you?)

Digressed on the Lavender milk tea story.. back to my LAVENDER VITAGEN.

You think after the above incident I would NOT buy any drink that has to do with Lavender.

No, you see, I just went crazy.. "VITAGEN COLLAGEN. woooooo..."

*proceed to buy without thinking or looking at what flavours they offer*

Only when I took it out to drink just now, I realised... eh Lavender flavour. Shit. Die. Dont care. Just drink.. after all how bad could it be?

Ok. It was not bad after all. Maybe the Lavender Milk tea was just nasty. But Vitagen Collagen Lavender flavour was just allright. It tasted abit like the grape, but with lavender aroma.. mmmmm...

I'm loving it...

This is what I normally do during my weekends... kinda miss it... COS TODAY I HAD TO WORK (bring back work sommore!)
/hmpfffffffffffffffffffffffff!!

Booooo...

I'd thought I'd take a break and blog. But then again, there is nothing to blog, except bitch about work.

Oh, there is this guy (ang moh) in my firm who is quite cute (that's what you get if you work in a multinational firm, especially in the country that supports foreign talent).

My colleague got to capture a pic of him and I was just sat there stunned silence. He looked so yummy in the camera, smiling and all.. (he's taken btw, but no harm looking eh?)

This guy works in the infrastructure department, you know, support, IT, etc. Anyway, I mentioned how cute he is to the colleague, who then in turn sent me an email through the company email account to my company email account and the subject header is " didnt send this to you previously, but since you like him..." and the attachment is the photo of him zoomed up to his face.

OMG!

HE WORKS IN INFRASTRUCTURE. HE CAN SCAN EMAILS OK. ACK! Especially when the subject header is like that, its inviting for trouble!!! My colleague just laughed her head off. ARG.

Oh man. What are the chances he will see that right?

You will never know. If ever he found that email, he would think I am a stalker or some kind of psycho.

Shit shit shit

Argh!

I hate it when the person hears the name of any accounting firm, they automatically become a bitch / bastard from hell.

Really.

I mean, we are here to assist you in compliance. Not paid to release tension / PMS.

It has become a common fact that we are paid to endure all your shit blaming stunts. Even though its a stupid, not worth bringing out your temper for.

Yes although we exist to make you do more work. BUT. There is a law that exist for you to comply. And we are here for that. If not you just do it yourself and see how f****** hard it is.

We are professionals, and work as one. We are not here for you to blame and point fingers at.

This message goes out to all accountants/financial controllers/etc who work with external auditors and tax agents to be nice to them as we are here to assist.

To those who insist that we are lametards who exist for you to throw your temper at, go bloody f*rk a cactus and get a life.

To prove to the chicken that it could do it!

==========================================

Every year, our firm (which shall remain anonymous for some reasons, but those who know, know lah huh) organises a charity week and each department is to do something to raise funds. Our department, is the boring one, appeal to all, collect money. Yay. Other departments, go one step further, sell food, trinkets etc.

This department... goes two steps ahead. Asks someone to wear a duck costume, get people to donate money to see the duck cross the road.

Say what???

Duck.

Cross.

Road.

And the duck survived...

Actually I was expecting more of a cuter duck... instead of this alien-ish one.

Something like this would be more pleasant to the eye. Nevertheless, it was all good fun! heheheheheh..
