Hangat hangat tahi ayam
There will be days when I wake up.. I'm raring to go, planning my day to the exact detail what I am going to do after work. The general idea would be:
1. Pick her up... PLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY with her
2. Put her down, let her watch her dvd - Mr Men ABC
3. While she watches... COOK! - and I will cook sumptuous and nutritious meals!
4. After eating dinner, knit my bag.
5. Sleep
What really happens after work is
Brain dead - let her play in the cot by hereslf - eat some KFC/MCd/insert some junk - sleep
SIGGGGGGGHHHHHHH

Black Moandays

GIVE ME Friday already!! *sigh*
The past few weeks we were going to many show houses looking for our perfect home. Prices dont come cheap and there are loads of misleading information. Like for one, I very much wanted to view this boutique development, which was freehold and near the MRT (rare), had 3 bedrooms that all came with attached bathrooms, and it was only 9 storeys. Sad to say, when I went there, the plot of land was surrounded by condos and houses. Can you imagine your next door neighbour is a bungalow? Opposite the road was an exclusive condominium staring down at you.
Super Ugh.
And its selling close to 1mil for about 1100 sqft.
AND THE WORST PART WAS THERE WAS NO SHOWROOM. THE SALES SITE WAS LIKE A CONSTRUCTION WORKERS SITE. SO PUT OFF.
Sigh.. and the search continues..

The best baby ever!
She may not be perfect, but she was the best baby ever in KL. We travelled via bus. Imagine 5 hours in a confined area with a baby. Ugh. So we specifically requested for the "meeting room" on the bus. You see there are these double deck busses and the lower deck is a karaoke room or a meeting room. We had so much fun there! It was so easy to manage her there cos we had soo much space. Despite the 3 hr jam on the bridge, the journey back was a breeze.
In KL, she was so friendly. Although it took her abit of time to warm up she was so friendly and she just kept on playing and laughing with people who played with her. She was so full of fun fun fun!
She now knows how to "gongxi gongxi" although she confuses this with "clap hands". It will be a matter of time before she knows how to clap hands. She also recently knew how to "give me five"

SO CUTE!

On the way back to KL, the bus we boarded did not have the meeting room. So it was quite challenging to manage her. But she managed to behave herself with abit of mishaps along the way (screaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam). But we came back unscathed. So much for dreading the bus ride back. I would definetely consider going back more often now (provided I get the meeting room bus again!!!)

Its FRAAAAIIII-DAY!
Not.
But its the begining of the looooooooooooooong weekend! Who took advantage of the long weekend? I did! I did! I took Monday off! ^_^y
I'm going back to KL. Wish me loads of luck during the journey home with fussy Shuen. She doesnt like to be cooped up for long. With 5 hours bus journey ahead, I'm predicting a very difficult journey back. The last journey back she screaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmeeed. Not a very good impression, although she did charm everyone with her infectious smile

I've been looking all over for skinny pants to wear to work and I finally found them from Zara. Gosh skinny pants has been here for like FOR-EVAR but now only I managed to find one suitable for work.

Yup, its the same top from the post before. What did I say about recycling clothes? heheheh
Fighting at every turn
Do you feel like someone is trying to make your life difficult? Finding fault at every effort you make?
I do. It sucks no matter how much you try, it sucks.

Red poop!Every parent's nightmare. So imagine my horror when I found out she pooped red stuff. I was like WTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!?!?!? Then, it smelled like papayas. A quick call to her babysitter and found out that she had been eating papayas yesterday.
Silly girl never chewed her food and just swallowed it whole! Nowonder the poop looked abit orange-y.

Beat the fat!Its been 7 months. Remember complaining about being fat (pregnancy fat issues)? (to refresh your memory its
here,
here and
here). I packed on a whopping 25kg during my whole pregnancy and was even heavier than HY. Its embarrassing.
1 month post pregnancy, I was wearing a size 40 jeans. My weight loss is not exactly encouraging. I go shopping on a need only basis. When I was due to work, I had to buy me some new work clothes. I'm not exactly estatic to get a new wardrobe, especially with a bigger size. Soon, I was recycling my clothes to often, and my black dress has faded to a sad grey.
So today, I went shopping and bought some clothes. Lesson learnt during shopping: please shop after u ate. I bought this skirt in size XS with a delusional mind. Post lunch, it couldnt even zip up. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGHH.

All sizes are in S or M. Bear in mind I was a size 0 last time. Now size 4! And I'm petite OK!

TV is evilTV inhibits your creativity and thinking. TV steals away your precious time. TV makes your brain shrink.
I dont remember when was the time I actually quit TV. But I was a TV addict since day one. I used to watch loads of Sesame Street and The Electric Company video taped by my parents. I used to love watching nonsense on TV such as Chinese Serial Dramas and loads of movie crap. I used to come back home from school and switch on the TV. I was a latch-key child. I come home from school alone. Make my own lunch, watch TV and sleep. Homework? Hahaahaah...
Anyway, when I started tiertiary education, it was demanding. I think I stopped watching TV then cause my classes were from 8am - 10pm. And I wanted to graduate. In order to graduate, I had to study. In order to study, I had to cut TV time (dating time was not negotiable hahaha). I guess thats where I started not watching TV anymore. I studied for 3 years. And from then on, I never watched TV anymore.
Whenever I tried watching TV, I found myself very impatient with the amount of advertisements and I hated the nonsense they aired on TV whether on cable or free. I used to love to waste time watching MTV. I even found myself feeling very frustrated after watching TV or even a movie because my 3 hours are wasted. I felt that I could do so much with that amount of time instead of sitting down like a zombie. I could even finish book!
Nowadays, I would rather read books of movies that came out. I could use my own imagination to visualise the scenery, or emotions instead of input input input from the screen. I always felt that it was a waste of time watching TV or a movie. Thats why I am so angry whenever HY suggests to go for a movie. I hate wasting my time.
Anyway, I do go and see movies, only those which are worth seeing. One I wouldnt waste my time reading.. like Matrix, Wolverine, James Bond, etc. And you know what is really surprising? People get shocked when they found out that I dont watch TV at all. I can go on the whole day without watching TV. Even when I am at home alone.
So what do I do? Since I am a mother of a 7 month old who hardly sleeps, I catch up on my sleep. Otherwise, I'm reading, knitting, blogging (heh) or talking to friends online. My only vice alternative to watching TV is the internet. Which I am also trying to cut down. But I cant! Simply because I can surf for real time information (which obviously I cant get from TV). It interacts with me. Cos lets say I want to find out a type of rash on my baby, I just go to Google. Can TV give me that? Nope.

Random weekend
Rainbow vaccum cleanerHY's friend introduced him as a contact for this direct sales thingy. Its basically a powerful vaccum that does wonders. Sucks out more dirt than you can imagine. Bla bla bla. Firstly, the demo is non-obligatory ie I dont have any obligation to buy the damn vaccum cleaner after the demo. So we agreed to the demo. She came, demo, sucked dirt cleaned my mattress blablabla. Ok I admit, I was impressed at the amount of dirt and gunk it sucked out of my mattress. I cannot believe I have been sleeping with that amount of gunk. However, when they quote the price of $3,600 for that machine, our eyes popped out. WHAT???? Its so expensiveeeeeeeee. Then we started declining the offer. I mean, what the hell? So expensive? If it is $1k I would consider. $3,600!
She started spouting out some nonsense about installment plans. I mean ok I have the money. I can pay one lump sum I dont care. But I am not going to pay such a huge sum of money for a vaccum cleaner. Yea it does wonders but I am sure I can find something more affordable! Then she started making us feel guilty saying we dont put the needs of our baby first (WTFFF???). I have $3,600 I can do alot of things with it for her.
To cut the story short, I dont like direct sales and I forced HY to deal with her. She will sure use me to say oh of course your wife and baby needs it blablabla for the sake of your family.. I just dont give face and hide in the bedroom with Shuen. She was like ok discount till $2k pluss but must give cash now only valid now after we said we need to think about it. I just said to HY I dont want. In the event that after my research, I know its really worth it I dont even mind paying the full price. By her giving things like that means I know how much their commissions are. Stupid.
Anyway, she wasnt happy. We werent happy either. Too bad! Plus, she said the whole thing would only last 45 mins! IT LASTED FOR 2 bloody hours! Mostly is talking (making us feel guilty) us to buy the damn thing.
VivocityAfter that ordeal, we were hungry like mad (we didnt have breakfast; we means the exception of Shuen who can demand for food like a queen) hot and frustrated. So we went to Vivocity and decided to stay there till 7pm. HAHAHAHAHA
Its a bloody hot weather. I dont know why. But we just want to get out of the hot and very poorly ventilated HDB flat. So we mucked around at Vivocity (had coffee and read books at a cafe) till 7pm. Free aircond! Came back still so hot (prolly all that hot steam cooped up in the poorly ventilated flat). Shuen was behaving so well. She slept most of the time. I think its because of the aircond too!

Mistaken identityShuen is a girl. NOT a boy. There were so many comments that she looked like a boy. Her size for one, is like a boy. Her behaviour is like a boy. Her attitude is like a boy. Everything about her is like a boy. So one day mummy got fed up and:

Geek Chic
I have most of the above except the Macbook (want!), Canon G10 (want! want!) and the Samsung Omnia (want! want! Want!!)
Nintendo DS: HY got it for me to amuse myself during maternity. Little did he know that Shuen is my main source of amusement. I hardly use it. Sell? Anyone want?
HP Laptop: I initially got it for work purposes until I converted my work desktop to a laptop (I can access the server from home with the laptop). So now my worthless HP laptop is used for editing photos and surfing net. However, with the Vista, it lags like shit when processing Adobe Photoshop. Gawd. Sometimes I feel like throwing the laptop across the floor.. which bring us to the..
MacBook: I want I want I want. Sleek design aside, the Mac is designed for design and media! Something which I really want long time ago. Tell me why am I in the accountancy line again?
Ipod Touch: Won it during my company annual dinner. Scratched it within the first day. Yay.
Creative Zen Stone: Bugged HY for it. It took alot of tears and persuasion. Not going to sell it even though I got my Ipod Touch.
Canon G10: I really want a good camera to catch all Shuen's silly antics. My current camera cant capture fast enough. Still browsing for a good deal! Anyone?
Samsung Omnia: I used to own a Samsung. That was my first and last Samsung. However, the Samsung Omnia looked so sexy that I just want it. Damn. This is definetely marketed for gullible women like me. I currently own an LG. It will be my first and last LG.

One hot afternoon weekend
Ah wishing for a new wardrobe.....
