I got the LG Viewty! Actually it was a very rash decision. My mobile phone is due for re-contracting end of the month ... so we just woke up one day (which is today) and went to Singtel to just "look and see". The "look and see" project ended up with 2 new phones (HY and me) and a new mobile line contract. There was some promo going on so we just went for it. This is the first time I bought a mobile phone without researching and thinking much into it... I just saw the phone, looked ok, the camera sounds pretty alright and *bam* sold and signed the contract.

WHY LG? I was kinda bored with the normal slide and flip phones. I was also getting tired of the usual popular brands like Nokia and Sony Ericsson (not that I've used Sony anyway). I've used Samsung before, and had a terrible experience with it. That was eons ago, prolly they had changed. Once is enough to scar me for life. So I've decided to risk it with the LG. I saw the preview of the functions, and I went for it. Its simple enough for a woman and the quality of the pictures.. I've yet to see. So far, I came across this:

Its a forum thread on test-shooting with the LG Viewty. Not bad for a camera phone. Since I've just acquired it, I have no complaints (yet) on the performance so far. We'll have to wait and see ;)

HY got the N82. The TYPICAL GUYS PHONE. Loads of features (that I will never use). But he got it solely for watching the mio tv mobile. T_______T. Talk about single minded-ness. I hope he will be more happy with this new phone than his Motorolla. The poor thing had to suffer with Motorolla for the past 2 years because of his poor judgement (I told you so.. ;P) of wanting to look "cool".
