With the limited resources I have, I'm pround to launch my pieces which I will
*try* (
try is a passive action. I was told in my soft skills training not to use "try"; rather, commit on something I WILL do) to sell it online on
ebay (
I'm addicted to it by the way? I won a bid for a dress. Lets hope it will arrive soon):
*Please click on the picture if you want a close up, my camera is powderful*
Took me so damn long to bend the wires into little loopy holes
Not for sale!
I like these best. These are the prettiest (and the easiest to make!)
How it looks like laying flat..
How it looks like hanging
Simple?
Hah.. guess what are these originally..They are only one per piece (
dont have time). So if these do well,
then will make some more when i have the time (again). The necklace is not on sale as it only fits my neck. So if you think you can fit my neck size (which is impossible, nyek!) you can have it!
Thats all for now. I need to sleep. Those of you who know, I have been working from 9am (
ya la, cheat abit .. work so late, cannot wake up on time) till 10-ishpm. So where do I find the time?
I dont sleep.
Kidding. It took me 2 weeks to come up with that measly amount of pieces. I'm just doing this for fun (
testing out market too!) and I was bored with work and I needed something to look forward to when I get home instead of just sleep.
p/s: I just realised I love to use the brackets : "(..)" hehehe.. I get too distracted easily

Yesterday I went home early (around 7-ish) when the sunlight was still out. It was a pretty sight (yellowish tinge).
And so, since the day was early, I went to Plaza Singapura to pay a visit to Spotlight (where you can buy beads, fabrics, home stuff, artsy fartsy stuff).
I tell you that place is evil!
I ended up spending $66 (evil number too!) on beads and stuff. Yup, I intend to pick up back my "hobby" (which includes spoiling beads....) since i've been so bored of life lately (work eat sleep work eat sleep). I just felt that I needed something to do besides that. I spent like almost 2 hours in the few aisles (the shop assistants must think I'm a shop lifter or something)
I was so happy (estatic) with my purchases and started work on the knick knacks that I bought. Too ambitious too! In the end, I forgot that I hadnt been fooling around with wires (yep, had to bend wires to make the shape of the connector) and ended up spoiling a few (expensive) wires.
Wasteful me.
Anyway, Cal told me about this pill (vitamin, whatever) that could help people to sleep better naturally (without taking the sleeping pill, and frankly, that hardly works on me anymore.. booboo). The trouble is, I forgot what was the name she told me. All I know it starts with the letter "M".

Anyway, I saw this aromatherapy thingy called "zzz therapy Sleep well". It was a pillow spray (cute right? I adore pillows, the more the better, replace Mr Bee also can) The packaging was uber cute and so retro I had to buy it (had to try anyway right?).
You are supposed to spray it onto your pillow. Then when u smell the aromatherapy thingamig, it will help you to relax and sleep.
Yep. Either the thing is a miracle worker (I couldnt sleep well ever since I came back from the US), or I was so damn tired that I cant even open my eyes the next morning. We shall see whether it really works for the next few weeks shall we?

Pictures are UP! p/s: I kept this post at the top.. there are NEW posts after this
Firstly, Mr Bee and I took about less than 3 weeks to plan this trip. Before this was, we were unsure whether to go or not to go. Very undecided. Then, we just let things fall into place. First of all, we found a discounted tickets of a "reputable" airline to fly to New York (I flew Singapore Airlines btw, SQ for short). Got our visas done (in the mean time pray that the discounted tickets wont sell out by the time we get our visas. We cant book. Must buy on the spot. No refund). I got my visa approved on the spot (face so pretty mah...). But for Mr Bee, he had to wait a week before they cleared him of suspected terrorist, potential bomb carrier, etc.
Then from there, everything started to fall into place. Finding a cheap reputable airline wasnt that easy. We had to search online and went to few travel agents. In the end, we booked directly through SQ's website. I could fly China Air and pay even half the promotional price of SQ. But.... it's okay lah... I dont want....... todiesoearly.
*AHEM* ANYWAY, I DONT LIKE SQ. But I wouldnt rate it the worst airline I have ever flown (I only have experience with 3 other airlines). It could be the reason that the flight was very long (21 hours inclusive of 1 hour of transit) and I was uncomfortable throughout. Maybe it is because it was an old plane. I mean, can you imagine me, a skeleton, feels so damn cramp (okay lah, I'm not rich, so I flew economy) in my seat. I cant imagine those Germans who boarded the plane in Frankfurt, where we transited. PLUS I was sick throughout the flight there. The cabin air was so dry. I kept sneezing and kept asking for napkins to wipe my snot. My skin and mouth felt so dry until it was pain. BAD experience for 21 hours.
We were also so lucky cos we had a *free* place to stay in New York. *teeheehee* We got to bunk with a friend who was so sweet to give up his time to show us around (and comfy bed too.. heh). We also got to go in the really nice museums (American Museum of Natural History and Museum of Modern Art) for free because of him too.. what more could we ask for right?
When we finally reached JFK airport we still had to clear customs. Customs wasn't so friendly. Not good impression. There is one chinese lady (whom I think probably the same flight as me) was not feeling so well. So she asked a custom officer for a glass of warm water, because she wasnt feeling so well. The customs officer just told her, "Everyone is also not feeling well, if you are not feeling well go and sit there". In another words, forgo your place in the long queue and go sit in the far corner.
Then I felt the unfriendliness myself. I cleared customs with a breeze. The customs officer even called me "Beautiful Malaysian Girl". Seriously, after 21 tiring hours of flight, you will take it as a compliment. Mr Bee.. not so good. Had to go for further questioning. I on the other hand had no clue where he went cos the officer will instruct everyone which counter to go to clear customs. Me and Mr Bee were separated. So I went to the baggage claim to claim our bags. So I waited.. and waited.. and waited. Mind you. I was the ONLY ONE waiting. So pitiful okay. I felt so scared. All alone in a ~far ~far away land. Maybe it was because I flew SQ from Singapore there were more Singaporeans (who are exempted from having a visa and are not one of the countries that were flagged).
So there was this lady who was in charge of baggage asked me, whether I got all my baggage (now, remember, I have been waiting and waiting). I thought she was being friendly and all so I told her "Yes I got all my baggage, but I'm waiting for someone who I have no idea where he was taken to. Can you hel........."
She interrupted and said "All I asked you is that whether you got all your baggage. If you have then fine" and walked off.

Have some pity woman! I'm ALONNNEEE
I had to call the friend who was playing host to us AT WORK (which shall be referred to as S now) to comfort me. So sad.
THEN that is not all. She came up to me again and asked me whether I have got the RIGHT baggage. I said yes [full stop]. Then she asked me how did I know that was my baggage? I said I recognise it lah. Then she checked the tag and then said "THIS IS NOT YOUR BAGGAGE!"
Now stop and think for a moment. If you are in the US where security alert is on code ORANGE (whatever that means... prolly means close to code RED) you would panic. HOW DID THEY KNOW ITS NOT MY BAG? THEY HAVE CAMERAS EVERYWHERE! Heart beats faster. Thinks you are dead meat in a few minutes. And you are still alone.
Then she said "COME and see if the bags over there are yours". So I had to lah right? So she points to me and said "probably that would be my bag". I saw some bag that doesnt resemble anything close to my bag. I said "THAT IS NOT MY BAG!?" I think by this time I'm fed up of unfriendly and unhelpful people that I dared to shout back at her. She said what is the name that is registered. I said Mr Bee's surname and she "OH.. then sorry. Its not your bag"
=.=
I shouted at her back. IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU DIDNT EVEN ASK ME MY NAME!!!!... stupid
I just walked off. Bloody moron I tell you. First day already so FRUSTRATED!
So when Mr Bee walks out of his quarantined room after an hour or so, we took a cab to our friends place and collapse because we were so tired (timing difference, tiring flight, tiring air, tiring people, etc).
We didnt officially start our day until the next day or so. After we arrived at the apartment, we slept. Woke, eat dinner, went Bloomingdales then back home to collapse.
NEXT DAY!
I think I INSISTED we eat American breakfast. So we went to a diner! WAHAHAHAH... So nice ok. Get to eat pancakes, ham, bacon, cheese. I think it was just the atmosphere. The lady comes up to you in an apron, takes your order, gets your order, free refill of coffee, lady who served you orders you to drink up your orange juice for vitamin c!! HAHAAHA... in Singapore.. huh.... just slap your order on the table walk off...

Weather, very berry cold lah... I am not built for cold weather. My skin cracked. Not joking man. I had to buy gloves there otherwise I wouldnt be able to type this (my fingers would just freeze and drop off). Anyway, we walked along Central Park and saw alot of ~fat squirrels! So cute! So not like the ones I see in my backyard back in KL. Actually, if you take away the bitter cold wind that was blowing, the weather would be much more tolerable.

Seriously.

First stop will be American Museum of Natural History (where Night of the Musuem was shot?) saw dino bones, real nice exhibits. I really wonder whether Malaysian museums will be able to keep up with this kind of expectation. But American Museums mostly charge about $20++ to go in? That would be about RM80 for entrance? One word, EXPENSIVE.
After that we went to Columbus Circle where Time Warner Building was there. There was a lovely market down there! I dont know how to describe it. But I think it would be like Cold Storage, but much better. So we walked around there, and Mr Bee molested a fat lady's butt (statue). WAHAHAHAHA. And there would be my first purchase from New York. I went in Sephora (probably like Sasa) and bought this eyeshadow palette:

Its so hard to find eyeshadow palette with 10 shades where they give you 2 shades to match each other nowadays. So you have minimum 5 different combination of matching colors. At first, I was searching for a dark green to match my suit. I found it, then I realised that the brand also comes in the 10 color palette... right next to it.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUY!
I like all the colors btw. Although I may have the colors already (like purple and bronze), one can never have too many eyeshadow. ^_^
Then we walked and walked saw many buildings. Took pictures. Walked. Took pictures of buildings. Think Mr Bee wanted to take the whole of New York back with him. If I put up all the pictures that he took, it will just rape all your bandwidth. =.=

Times Square. "YATAAAA!!!" [Hiro Nakamura, Heroes]
NEXT DAY!

Empire State Building was on our itinery the next day. Where Mr Bee would climb up the building like a skinny King Kong and roarrrr..
I'm just kidding.
I think we started early in the day and still had to line up. The line goes around the building. In the cold. Me. No. Like. Cold. Lucky I had something...

Survivor kit in the cold. I'd buy the Venti size and savor the hot liquid while walking. Those of you who had seen my photo album (which is private btw, wahahahah), some of the pictures I would be holding a coffee cup. That is my life line okay. The view there is fantastic. But mind you, the wind is biting cold. I had to run into the building from the observation deck a few times (there got heater mah).

On this day also we went to Chinatown and saw this defaced Post Office. Everyone say it with me now... Poor Post Office.

Went to Little Italy then Soho. Soho and 5th Avenue is my favourite place. But I seem to go there on the most bad luck times. When I went to Soho, it was Easter week. No shops were open for me. Sad. When I went to 5th Ave, it was on the day of my flight back to Singapore. Therefore no time to go shop to shop. Sad.
Think Mr Bee purposely plan one.
But anyway, I got to go in this shop (anyone recognise this?) and ended up a few hundred dollars poorer. *Grinz* But lucky I didnt spend my whole life savings in New York. I spent it in the factory outlets in Orlando instead. WAHAHAHAHAH

While walking along the streets I saw this:

Didnt go in though... too expensive!
I went to the M&Ms store at Times Square and saw many cute M&Ms stuff!! I wanted to kidnap~ one of the character back to Singapore... unfortunately I'm not really sure how to carry it back, its really big. Mind you, I haven't even gone to DisneyWorld yet at this point, and I intend to kidnap~ the whole of DisneyWorld characters back to Singapore.
I also had the chance to see a broadway show, MammaMia! We got discounted tickets (about 30% off) and I really enjoyed the show alot. You must must must go to a broadway show if you go to New York! Otherwise your trip wont be complete! Wahahaha... okay this is just my preference. But most people I talked to who went to New York did go see a broadway show. So you really dont want to miss it. I got discounted tickets from ticketing booth called TKTS (go read the guide books and locate it). Usually they would sell off the unsold tickets for the day only. So you cant buy in advance. You have to go there on the day itself to get your tickets.
NEXT DAY!
Went to Grand Central Station (err.. not sure what movie to reference to.. the Wild?). Whoah.. instantly transport you back in time. Dont know how they restore it despite the people traffic is very high.
When you visit New York, what is the next thing you must see?

STATUE OF LIBERTY!
Wahahahahha.... You know, for this day I had to borrow a WINTER jacket from S. I dont care how big it was. I just wanted to be warm! Ferry was cold. On Liberty Island was also cold. Froze to death.
Oh Oh.. the security there was damn tight. To go in the Statue of Liberty, must search bag, go through some chemical detector (to detech for bombs), must take out all jacket, shoes (like go through airport).
Going to Statue of Liberty and savouring everything takes more than half a day. By the time we exit to go to Brooklyn Bridge, it was after lunch! We walked on Brooklyn Bridge btw. NOT ALL THE WAY TO BROOKLYN. We only managed like 1/10th of the way... hawhaw.. just for the fun. It was sunny. I was grumpy and tired from the cold and walking. heheheh dont blame me...

Think after that Mr Bee saw that I was real bored (buildings, trees, cars, sky.... you get the idea... not my type of holiday you know), after visiting Ground Zero (where they will be building Freedom Tower) we went to Century 21. Discounted (heavily) branded goods. Can you say crazy? AHAHAH.. I didnt buy much clothes. I mostly bought bags. I'm too small for their size [full stop]. Its so sad you know!!!! Even xs cant fit me! *cries* There are pants and tops that I wanted BUT it didnt fit. Sad. Anyway, good also lah... Save money for the madness to come in Orlando (NYEHEHEHEHEHE).... which I depart... the day after this............
