So I went for my first "formal" chiropractic appointment (the informal one was free, during lunch around my office area).

I was walking somewhere in Raffles Place on Friday (will tell you later cos my brain isnt functioning on a Monday morning) and they had this free spine analysis which tells you how misaligned your spine is. Free. Hmm. Count me in man. So they used this computerised thingy on my neck spine and measure the tension. They are supposed to measure my lower back but then... I was wearing a dress so they cant do that. Anyway, my left neck tension is 162%.

Woooo

I dont know what that means. But all I know that my neck is pain and so is my left hand so the analysis seemed pretty accurate. Then a doctor saw a group of us. Explained what chiropractic thingy is all about, how they can help, how your spine is connected to everything in your body, in short, bad spine, bad health. So the doc saw us one by one just to demonstrate. Stand up. Close eyes. Face head to sky, down, then look straight.

From there he is able to tell how misaligned you are. It seemed that I am quite misaligned. Heh. He can feel it in my neck tension. Blah. So then after the analysis, we are supposed to choose whether to sign up or just leave it.

I actually had another chiropractor in mind. The one which is nearer to my place. I dont want to come all the way to town just to get my back analysed or seek treatment. I guess I am not a town person. Further, I already made an appointment with a chiropractor near my place on Saturday.

So Saturday's chiropractor practically did the same thing and the result is pretty much the same (ie neck tension), except that they sent me to x-ray my spine so that they could agree what is the next best step (mind you I paid for this, so that's for the x-ray step).

Today and tomorrow, I will go for my report. This is to see what are the doctors recomendations after they have looked at my x-ray. Woo. We'll see if I need to get my back aligned.

Btw, if you are puzzled by today's title "Subluxation", it means when one or more of the bones of your spine (vertebrae) move out of position and create pressure on, or irritate spinal nerves.

So there. This may be the cause of my many migranes.
