I got a call for an interview today (yes! I know, its abit too early to switch jobs). Date not confirmed. I sounded abit too much of a snob. I do hope they call me back to confirm the date. Erk.

It went like this. A typical sad Monday morning. And my phone rings! The person introduces herself from XY firm and asked if it is a good time to talk.

Pause for a moment here. Its Monday morning. All the managers are infront of me and she calls from a rival firm to talk.

*Panic*

So I simply said that it wasnt a good time to talk now. Then she asked when will it be a good time? And I was like erm ah erm ah.. lunch time would be godd. She asked again, do you want to call me back or I call you back? I erm ah erm ahhed some more and said please call me back. *click*

*Pause*Rewind*Reflect*

I told her off just like that to call me back during lunch time. OMG OMG OMG WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST DO???!?!?!?!??!

So I told myself to calm down and wait like an hour later to call her back. When I did call her back she was glad I did and I told her some sob story that I was in a meeting *action like so important like that* and couldnt talk.

So she told me that she was offering me an interview with a partner, and when could I be free and stuff like that... etc the usual stuff. Then I got bold. I asked,

WHAT POSITION ARE YOU OFFERING ME?

and the poor little thing said I dont know but I could check and let you know...

But then I got bolder and told her upfront what I was looking for (higher position than now) and that I look forward to transition into that position in that firm because I deserve to be that for the amount of years I worked. The current one is a lower position (not that I am disatisfied with it, its what I worked before I came over).

So she said she would check with her partner, and get me the details to work with. But then I added that whether she get this info or not its not cruicial (salvage time) for the interview. I just wanted to see what the firm has got to offer me.

If you were the other person on the other line speaking to me, what would you think of me? Would you recomend me to your partner for interview? Hmmmm...

I sure hope I get the interview.... *eeks*

/post note: Why do I want to change? Because of the name of the firm and go after what I am supposed to be. Simple as that.
