The gap between my elder brother and I is 10 months. The gap between my younger brother and I is 9 years.
And because of this huge gap, my parents wanted to sort of 'make amends' because of what me and my elder brother lack previously.
My dad had mentioned that, yes, we (as in my elder brother and I) were brought up very strictly and in a harsh environment (like 'do or die' kind of situation). That's why they have kind of 'regretted' because we are not so attached to them like normal children should be. Therefore, when my younger brother came along, they gave him all the opportunity in the world, the best schools, the best books, food, education and everything was laid out on his feet to choose.
The end result was my younger brother became spoilt, pampered and unappreciative of what he has laid down before him. He became flippant about matters. He believes that no matter what he does, the parents will always give him what he wants.
I guess that is what is wrong with the current generation nowadays. They are unwilling to work hard to get what they want, and expect everything to be laid down before them without hard work and patience.
Just that day my younger brother pissed me off. He thinks because I am responsible to fetch him on that day, I am his every beck and call. If there is so ever one minute late, he would call me to ask "where are you?!"
GAH!
I admit am pampered. But just not THAT pampered.
